You might get more information at grenadaexplorer.com. I don't think
Grenada is particularly good for snorkeling, especially from the beach.

I just got back from spending 12 days in Grenada - 9 on Grenada (the island)
and 3 on Carriacou. The ferry between Grenada & Carriacou costs about $17 US
each way.

John,
Can you provide some specifics on departure times, transit times, and
where to get the ferry?
Bobby

The Osprey leaves from The Carenage (St Georege's harbor) in Grenada for
Carriacou at 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m.
only on Saturday. The ferry anchors at the main dock in Hillsborough.

The ferry leaves Carriacou for Grenada at 6:00 a.m. and again at 3:30 p.m.
Monday through Saturday.

The trip ranges between 75 and 90 minutes.

Tickets may be purchased in advance, however most people purchase tickets
10-15 minutes before the boat leaves either port.

Whatever you do, do not sit on the deck at the rear of the boat on the lower
level. Water will occasionally splash over the side of the boat and spray
passengers sitting near the rear of the boat.

i sat there on the way back, didn't get wet, that was in the summer, but
apparently the water is a bit rougher at the moment

sit on the top deck and try not to fall of fall in the water when you get
off the boat at hillsborough lol, which is unlikely because one of the
osprey staff will grab u

my gf just got back and the osprey was jumping out of the water cos the sea
was rough, plenty of sick bags on hand, but its not like that all the time.

visit the Roundhouse on Carriacou for good food, my gfs mum runs it,
Sarah.......and snags bar for good rum punch.....snorkeling at sandy island
(just of carricou) is good, get there by water taxi from the beaches....and
anse la roche beach is good for snorkeling (only accessible by boat)

various people have boat you can charter, we went to PSV and Tobago Cayes on
a day trip, in Dennis's speed boat, he lives in bogles, near the Roundhouse,
and will even take you to Tobago or Barbados if your mad enough

Getting between Grenada and SVG by ferry is hard. One the ferry between SVG
and Union Island only runs a couple times a week. And second, to get
between Carriacou and Union Island you have to hire someone with a boat.
You would only do this if you planned to visit all the islands along the
way.

If all the passengers show up early the flight won't wait and will leave
early. I haven't flown them much, but none were ever late.
