Yes. Use some intelligence when composing your Subject:'s.
I'll bet you'd get a response rate.

What do you consider cheap for first question. What type of people are you
thinking you will encounter for next question. Most strangers you run into
will be expecting cash. Will you be staying there or just a day trip from
MOBAY or ship? If staying I would recommend you take care of the servers
that prepare or clean your room. They are honest hard working wonderful
people that would greatly love to feel that you are grateful for them as
they mostly go unnoticed and unrewarded. Cash is always the best way to make
then feel good. A ten here a twenty there a few hundred after a week of
cleaning your room is something they will remember for at least a year until
you return. Otherwise be more specific about the atmosphere you plan on
experiencing.

If you plan on staying in a hotel, items I know is appreciated by housekeeping
staff are those sample toiletry items, those mini bottles of shampoos,
deodorants, toothpastes, soaps, etc. Toiletry items in Jamaica can be quite
expensive. When you buy a bunch of the samples here, they are relatively
inexpensive, easy to pack, and appreciated by the staff. They also enjoy
scented candles, chocolates, Zippo lighters, and t-shirts and hats emblazoned
with the names of our professional sports teams. Have a great time and enjoy
Negril!

We always bring school supplies for the cleaning staff. They have kids
or friends with kids and it seems very welcome as it's something they
all can use.
US dollars also help
