This is prudent advice in any event. That said, I stayed there in summer
2002 and had a fine time, had plenty of conversation via email with manager
Virgil beforehand.

Three caveats: there are no overhead lights in the rooms, just the night
table lamps so the room can be somewhat dark in the daytime. Second,
service at the Sunset Cafe adjoining can be grumpy and slow, even by
Caribbean standards ($10 for a plate of 10 slices of fruit?) but there are
plenty of restaurants that aren't like them at all. Third, the beach bar
across the street can play loud music at all hours. Fortunately, we like
reggae :)

BTW, have you looked at the Marriott? My wife and I stayed
there last July and had a great time. The prices were
still cheap since they are new and it's a great property.

Regards, Daniel

I believe there are clocks in the rooms. There is great snorkeling right
at the TBR. They even have steps going into the sea to make it easier.
The rates at the Marriott now are probably twice as high as the TBR.
