How to Convince Boyfriend of NEED to Visit Caribbean?

Try Dominica.....it has a rain forest, a gazillion types of animal life
[though he can't kill 'em!]...simply beautiful beaches...unspoiled
terrain [still not that touristy!..thank God!

Small guest houses, villas are the name of the game here...FOOD
TREMENDOUS....nightlife abundant...

Time to get him to compromis a bit,I'd think :-)

Cozumel is now replete with street crime....careful! Mexico in general
has some probs.

St.Martin/t. Maarten is quite safe!...and a beautiful island.

As for the US Virgins, I own a place in St. Thomas an am thinking of
selling...St. thomas is so commercial and many of its beaches are small
and rocky. Not to mention driving there [unless you're used to driving
on the left side] is a challenge and cabs are sky high!

St. Croix was always the jewel, but also has been beset by crime,
resulting in the cruise lines cancelling last year St. C as one of its
ports of call.

St. John is gorgeous...and inhabited by more wild donkeys and goats than
people! LOL...yet VERY expensive

St. lucia is a winner, as is Barbados!

GREAT difference in the two sides...although only about 35+ sq
miles...the two sides reflect heavily their 'ownership'...I lived in
France for many years, so my fav side is the French side...no cruise
ships come on that side, hence less of the touristy thing....folk there
visitng are there because they CHOSE to be there and are there for at
least 4-5 days....hence, more new friends

The french Caribs and the French-french are very friendly!

The Dutch side is where the port of call resides...although when in
Holland, I found the Dutch to be very friendly, on the Dutch side of
this island, they are so-so...

Believe it or not, atter over 15 years of traveling to this island, I
STILL find it interesting that many of the denizens of the Dutch side
abhor going to the French side.....not so much with the French going t
the dutch side...
