Grandy Cayman or Mayan Riviera???

Has anyone been to both of these places and can compare the pros and
cons of each? More specifically, we're looking at Caribbean Club on 7
Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, or one of the all-inclusives (one of the
Palaces resorts, Paradisus Riviera Cancun, Cameleon Marival, Reef
Playacar, etc) in Mayan. We definitely want a NICE beach (as my post
below suggests) and some activities, but mostly just a place to relax
with few if any kids (we're leaving ours at home!) Thanks!

I would suggest Adventura Spa Palace in the Mayan Rivera. Grand Cayman
is very expensive and you will get more bang for the buck in Mexico.
Also, it is an adult only resort.
