places to stay in BVI?
I am going on a Honeymoon to BVI and would like suggestions for hotels on
the ocean in BVI.
I have read that BVI is a quiet place but I was hoping to find a nice luxury
hotel that we could really treat ourselves nice at. We are also hoping to
find a place that is right on the water. A good restaurant would be a plus.

Obviously we would also love a place that is high in romance and charm.
Thanks all.

the former Rockerfeller resort which is a sister of Caneel Bay Plantation on St John. I've forgotten
the name.

I have been lucky enough to visit the BVI on several occasions and
stayed at quite a number of the properties. At the luxury end - which is
what you indicate you want - there are 3 properties.
On Virgin Gorda you have:
Little Dix Bay - very nice - quite busy - spa & villas - rather big
(100+ rooms I blv.) nice beach quite good service. Views pretty but
rather flat and unspectacular.
Biras Creek - a little isolated but lovely. Very good restaurant and
service. Good wine cellar. Fair beach. Around 35 rooms. View better than
Little Dix - lovely seascapes.
Other:
Peter Island - large private island - guest only ferry to Tortola - 5
beaches - 2 restaurants - food/wine great - service friendly. New spa.
App. 50 rooms. Spectacular views on island and of surrounding islands
There are several other hotels on both Virgin Gorda and Tortola but not
that quite meet your requirements. USVI close by but much more
commercialised
I would check the websites of the 3 above. I blv the rates are all more
or less the same. From my experience and your criteria I'd suggest Peter
Island but it's your honeymoon. Regardless - you will have a great time
in the BVI. They're pretty unspoiled and very beautiful and friendly.
Very best wishes for the great day.
