Default How to work without a passport

Other getting married in one of the islands, is there any other way
for me to get a work permit without a passport? Can I buy into a
business or set up one and hire myself. It is not possible for me to
get a US pp at this time. Ex took off with my children, filed for
welfare (unbeknownst to me) came back for several months and took off
again with me getting a sizable bill later for her attending school
and getting child care paid for by the government. It seems I'm hemmed
in on all sides and if I can get back to working in my field, I can
pay off all old debts. That old saying, "between the devil and the
deep blue sea" is apopros here. Thing is, I'd rather have the sea.

I think that is probably dependent on where you end up. Employment and other
requirements can vary greatly from one country to another. I would decide
where I want to go, check in with the appropriate governmental agency to see
if it is possible under any circumstances to get work in the area and then
find out about passports.

Under a new State department rule (not a law) the US will not issue a
passport to anyone with more than $5K in back child support. The
constitutionality of the law has not been tested, and clearly it may
have some problems.

In any event, I think the original poster, in a further attempt to
avoid his child support obligations, wants to move to some tropical
isle, where his earnings and assets would be unatachable. While most
such places may be visited with a birth certificate, or less, for
tourist puposes, you need a work permit, which is generally a stamp in
a passport, to work, and, even if no permit is needed, you need a
passport to stay longer than the typical tourist length.

Second passports and citizenship for investment purposes deals
wouldn't probably be appropriate, because it would be cheeper to just
support his children.

I don't think the original poster has considered the wage rates in
most of these places, and the fact that they have enough mouths to
take care of among the native population to permit work by deadbeat
dads with no special skills.

It sounds to me like you need advice from a good lawyer.
My guess is that "do-it-yourself", even with REC.SCUBA advice,
is likely to end up costing you more than the lawyer.
