| | Guest | Trouble with apple vacations Hi everyone. Our travel agent told us we would be leaving Monday, 3am.
The tickets were sent late, 2 days before our wedding so things were
nuts. We were supposed to leave sunday at 3:00am. Apple does not do
one to one communications, what can I do about this, Im out 2 grand!!!
The tickets didnt have the day on them, we didnt think she would give
us the wrong day.
The agent mentioned insurance once but never asked or brought it up
again. We nagged her for weeks about the tickets and she lied and said
she had sent them only to admit later that she didnt. By the time we
got them we just made sure they were in there and got on with the
wedding.
I feel so helpless right now and my new bride is balling.
Help! | |

| | Guest | Trouble with apple vacations the first line of attack and satisfaction is the agent you used. but as
you say she has already lied to you, that may be where your problem
lies. had same problem, and did talk to wholesaler...got my stuff
overnighted..whole problem was lazy agent.

| | Guest | Trouble with apple vacations The problem seems to be with your travel agent, not necessarily Apple. I've
used Apple for years w/no trouble at all.
Go to Apple website and and find the main office in Bucks County area of
Pennsylvania. I've spoken to them when I had questions about one of the
resorts.
Suggestion for next time, take the insurance. Also, why are you out 2
grand? Couldn't you have left on Monday even though it was an error?

| | Guest | Trouble with apple vacations I would say APPLE is at fault as the word AGENT means just THAT. Lowlife
agents are STILL agents and passing the buck is not an acceptable answer.

| | Guest | Trouble with apple vacations All agents are not low lifes, so don't be hasty to condemn the entire
profession. A seasoned travel agent like my sister, Karen, would have
staid on top of things. If the agent was late getting the tickets to
the O.P. and they had the wrong departure date on them, the first place
for redress is the travel agency. Go to this agent's superior, even the
agency owner if need be. Trip insurance won't help you here as it
doesn't cover stupidity on the part of this travel agent. Most
professional agencies have agents who are bondable and carry the
equivalent of agent malpractice insurance. If they are unwilling to
settle, the locate the ASTA web site. It is a professional
organization for American Travel Agents. At their web site they have
the equivalent of a better business bureau where you can lodge a
complaint.
After doing this and not getting any satisfaction contact Apple. If
they won't help you collect, give one of those Television Consumer's
Advocate reporters a holler. I live in the NYC television market.
You'd be surprised what these reporters and their staff can do.
Sometimes all it takes it the threat of being exposed on television to
make some folks tow the line.
Exhaust all posibblities with the travel agency first.

| | Guest | Trouble with apple vacations Oh No..I was not saying that. I was only referring to ONE that was mentioned
if indeed that was actually the case. I just wanted to make a point that an
AGENT is an AGENT as the word implies and one should deal with the situation
with that in mind. Most agents I have dealt with in the past have been
awesome poeple. Only a few give alot a bat rap.:)
Sorry

| | Guest | Trouble with apple vacations Well, going to the agency's owner I finally got somewhere. I lost a
day on the trip but got upgraded to a 6 star hotel. We had to help out
with the flight down there for a couple of hundred bucks but since
arguably we should have double checked our own departing day I will
take it and run.
Thanks,
John | |
