Default snorkeling from beach in Antigua

My husband and I are considering a trip to Antigua in March, after
great visits the previous two years to St. John and Tobago. We like
to spend the day on a beach with some shade with good snorkeling (some
corals and/or gorgonians, some fish) that we can reach from said
beach. Research so far raises some questions whether such good
snorkeling opportunities exist on Antigua (including a post a few
months back in this group) - however I also ran into opinions on
snorkeling in St. John and Tobago that were not too accurate. So, I'd
appreciate any guidance people could give me.

Thanks in advance.

Guadeloupe or Dominica have very nice snorkelling, as off-trips
from Antigua, perhaps two or three nights. It would be well
worth it, especially snorkelling in the hot volcanic 'champagne'
bubbles off Dominica. Plus, the food and scenery on either of
those will be worth the trip.

Neither quite measure up to Bonaire snorkelling-wise, but they
have their own advantages.
