Default Chichen Itza and Kids -- Are they compatable?

It is a great trip if your children are into history and there is tons of
research on the web to familiarize them with it. It does get unbearably hot
mid day on so we elected to do the commercial charter plane (yes, it's a puddle
jumper) from Playa and we arrived early, it wasn't crowded and departed just as
many of the buses jammed with people arrived. Not sure if you could schedule
to coincide with your docking since there are flights from Cozumel but you'd be
back early afternoon for a late lunch and some time for other activity if you
can do it that way! Certainly beats sitting on a bus for hours on end and the
view from the plane is great!

When we went to Chichen Itza, there were tons of kids there. They all
seemed to be having a great time. The bus ride is very long, but they
did show a movie during the ride on our bus. I would take a beach
towel to cover up with. The bus has a terrific air conditioner. We
almost froze!
