Long-term inexpensive rental in or near Cancun

Okay, maybe this is impossible, but I am looking for a 1 bedroom or studio
apartment, inexpensive <-- NOTE long-term (1-2 years) lease/rental in or
near Cancun. It should be near transportation and a grocery store and have
phone lines. Air conditioning and a safe neighborhood would be nice. I
cannot pay more than $400 US per month. Is it possible?

How about a two bedroom apartment and I'll go in with you, of course
adding about the same amount or maybe a little more.

That's cool, split the rent, so long as you and my fiancee get along okay,
of course.
