Bermuda vs. Aruba

My girlfriend and I (I'm about to be 27 and her 26) are planning on booking a nice Tropical vacation for next spring and we've decided on Bermuda or Aruba from various recommendations from friends/etc.

We're a very fun couple who can enjoy it all, from the beach to the bars/clubs/nightlife to great restaurants to the outdoors to discovering the island itself. My girl has been to Bermuda prior, she says it's gorgeous and you can enjoy the entire island (vs. one of those places where they say to 'stay in the resort'). Personally I have never been on a tropical vacation such as this but cannot wait to go and would definitely like to go somewhere in which I can discover/travel/enjoy the entire island as 'not traveling out of the resort' is NOT for me, I'm a very outdoorsy type person and would love to rent a scooter/atv/etc. and be able to enjoy and see what an island has to offer, but do not need the grimy/unfavorable/unsafe areas either.

Where should we go? What should we do? Where should we stay?
Is an all-inclusive trip/resort the way to go?
When is the best time to travel?
Any recommendations on the best route to take for booking a trip like this/best deals/etc.?

Bermuda is not tropical. Think South Carolina type weather. If you go
in the spring the weather there may not be beach weather. From the tone
of your post and having been to both Aruba and Bermuda multiple times I
think Aruba would suit you better.

The timing of our trip is not critical, we're just trying to plan ahead and could schedule it for the best time to go weather-wise, etc.
When would be the best time to go to either location?

Why do you say Aruba would suite us better? Do you mind elaborating on your post?
