Prevailing wind in canada plains

Is there a prevailing wind direction in Canada, particularly in the
plains area (never been, could be all plains for all I know)?

I'm thinking of a bike tour, and want to go the best direction.

I know on the California coastal areas, prevailing wind is from the
north. In the interior, it goes all over. Just wondering if there
might be some prevalence in Canada.

The plains in Canada stretch from the foothills in Alberta to the far
eastern reaches of Manitoba. The prevailing wind is from the west and can
be significant.
