Default Wasaga Beach

Hello All

We are a family of 4 visiting Canada from UK in last half of august and
have booked hotels in Toronto and Niagara for the first few days. We
then hope to spend a couple of days in Wasaga Beach and then head off
towards Algonquin (sp?) National park. We have never visited Canada
before and have no knowledge of hotel/motel chains.

As we are spending a fair bit of money on our hotels in Toronto and
Niagara, we would like to spend a bit less on the next leg of our
journey. With these points in mind, could anyone help with the
following questions please?-

1) Is it necessary to book ahead for Wasaga Beach and Algonquin? or is
it easy to just arrive and find a place to stay?

2) Are there any motel/hotel chains that are clean, budget priced and
reliable?

3) Could anyone suggest good, clean places to eat ...come to that are
there any places to eat or stay that we should avoid?

4) Probably a very silly question to anyone that already knows the
answer - but is it safe to drink tap water in Canada as we do in UK or
should we rely on bottled water?

Thanks for reading and for any advice you feel able to offer.

Lynda

Depends on when you are going to Wasaga..during the summer, the place is FULL and its hard to get anything...but I don't see the point of going to the beach in the fall or winter anyways...after all, it gets cold here..its Canada lol

Look online for places to book through..that's always my recommendation.
