Default Port Hardy to Victoria and Victoria to Vancouver (or viceversa)

(Sorry for my english)
Hi,
Me and my girlfriend we are going to planning a trip to Canada this
August and we have some trouble to organize the trip between Port Hardy
to Victoria and (then) Victoria to Vancouver.
This is our plan:
- 2 Days - Vancouver
- About 10 Days - Vancouver>Banff>Banf National Park>Jasper>Prince
George>Prince Rupert
(we rent a car to do this... if I find it, all sold out!)
- 1 Days - Inside Passage (Prince Rupert to Port Hardy by BC Ferries)
- Port Hardy to Victoria (rent a car it's not really cheap)
- Victoria to Vancouver (is there a ferry?)

Any suggestion?
Thanks.
Andrea

Definitely!
I guess it's easier (if not cheaper) to keep it throughout the trip and
returning
it in Vancouver again.

Some useful tips:

1) your travel agent should be able to "bundle" a rental car with your
plane fares and hotel reservations; pre-payment through your agent can
save you a *lot* of money on a 1- or 2-week rental;

2) the daily insurance coverage for rental vehicles is ridiculously
expensive (the rental office earns higher commissions on insurance than
on the car); save by bundling as above; also, your credit card may have
insurance coverage if you use the card to pay for the rental; check all
this BEFORE you leave home!

Yes, the easy way it's keep the car throughout the trip and returning
it in Vancouver again.
The inside passage ferries are sold out for all august... So no inside
passage for us.
Thanks for replies.
