Traveling Newfoundland- Recommendations needed We only had 4 days in NL so only explored the western part up to Gros
Morne. Actually, just a few miles north of Gros Morne there are a
couple spots worth a look: Three Arches and Ethies Cove. We found the
Visitor's Centers throughout eastern Canada invaluable. They helped us
find inexpensive B&Bs, even made the phone calls for us, often on the
shortest possible notice. We rarely knew ahead of time where we would
stay overnight but knew if we got to a Visitor's Center (big "?" sign)
they would hook us up with something good. Of course, if you can book a
day ahead that's better, but your trip will be after tourist season so
I cannot imagine any problem.
If you are in Rocky Harbor on a night Anchors Aweigh is having a pub
night (ask about it), DO NOT MISS IT. Memories of this little musical
group stand out in our 6 week trip. ---Ken
