honeymooning in BC

hi all.

we are looking for a honeymoon destination in British Columbia. We were
thinking of staying on Vancouver Island for most of the trip, and maybe
going to mainland for a few days as well. Does anyone recommend any
resorts we could stay at? Or for that matter any resorts in BC. Any
recommendations and travel hints will be appreciated.

Saltspring Island is glorious - you'l love it.... check it out on the
web - you'll be hooked, the ferry from Vancouver Island to Saltspring
is also a beautiful trip - we stayed at Mallards Mill (sp?) and it was
great - even though I used to live in Victoria I loved this place

I guess it's not conventional holiday for a honeymoon couple but we were made to feel really special. We booked our holiday through a UK company called Ranch Rider and I guess ranching appealed beacuse two weeks spent on a beach wasn't my ideal cup of tea - we wanted to be a bit more adventurous - so that's where it all started. The ranch also featured a baan thai spa and a honeymoon cabin so it really felt like an extra special holiday - and this being a resort ranch the accommodation was very luxurious. A really nice mix of awe inspiring views, adventure and escapism - we would recommend it to anyone looking to honeymoon in BC :)
