  1. Seattle Pier 91

So sorry the terminal is such a pain. For trips to Alaska, Seattle is still a good departure point. Just so you know, Seattle is putting in a light rail train that will go from Seattle to the airport, so at least that part of the trip may be eventually easier.

  3. Carson City, MT Hangin of Jack

This was a re-enactment of an actual hanging. The guy had gotten drunk & shot up the town again. He had also ratted out the vigilantes. So they gave him the 7-7-77 (coffin is 7 feet down, 7 feet long, and 77 inches wide). It was the symbol used by the vigilantes.

FYI - we hung our first sheriff in Montana too, Henry Plumber LOL.

  5. More from the caverns

by on 20th February 2009 at 01:28 PM
They call this one 'Old Faithful' because of the water is always dripping from the ceiling on it and they can show the tourists.

This step is one mile above sea level and one mile below the surface.

For those who take the trip through the caverns - expect a hard walk. It is a bit of a walk to the entrance and it is uphill - steep hill. The stairs in the cavern are not always easy. Some twist and turn and there is one point where you have to slide on your rear through a low spot in the cave.
