    Default Bikes: Self-extracting cranks

    Hello,
I have a creaking bottom bracket that I'd like to examine. However, my
self-extracting bolt endowed Middleburn Uno cranks don't want to self-
extract. The spindles on the bottom bracket are hollow a long way in,
so there's nothing for which my crank extractor to anchor. I've looked
for solutions but I have yet to find one. Any suggestions? Do I just
    pull really hardr?

    Thanks a lot,
    Brendan Mahoney

if they're self-extracting, all you do is leave all the hardware in place,
and unscrew the center bolt. if they're /not/ self-extracting, you use a
traditional puller tool and a plug in the end of the spindle for the
puller to work against. the plug should come with the crank or the
    spindle.
