Default Combined rialway- and other kind of bridges

Sydney Harbour bridge has road and rail.
Clarence River bridge at Grafton in northern NSW still has both rail
and road on two decks.
Boambee Creek bridge near Coffs Harbour carries rail and pedestrian
traffic.

Also don't forget the many road bridges in Melbourne which carry
trams, (light rail.) I can think of over 30!

Best regards, Paul P

There are a number of combined rail and road in bridges in Queensland,
on the 2' gauge cane railways.

I believe the author and the attached link is talking about road and rail
sharing the one "road".
If a train is there, a car can not be there.

The Burdekin Bridge in north Queensland has the North Coast Main Line and
the Bruce Highway.

The Dickabram bridge on the Kingaroy line has both although the rail is
unlikely to see another train.

Now to argue over the definition... :-)

Do dual use bridges with each mode being separated count ?

Do urban tramways count ?

Do the industrial railways (cane railways) count ?

I does appear that possibly what was meant were bridges were road and
rail share the SAME space and that urban tramways were excluded.

But simply saying 'combined' road/rail use, the Sydney Harbour Bridge
counts, as the bridge as both a very active suburban rail line over it
AND a very busy roadway. The bridge is combined structure. The two
modes are just separated into their own lanes.

The only bridge with combined common space usage in NSW that I can
think of was the road/rail bridge at Menindee. The road was removed a
few year's ago.

Best regards............Paul p
