Default Three Conflicting Rail Service Announcments

Any one who has experince travel on metropolitan rail networks would
understand there are delays and those indicator boards and automated
voice-overs do fail.
At Burwood in Sydney a few weeks ago due to a late train it seemed it was
battle between two different trains.
Both the station staff, indicator board and automated voice-over were giving
mixed messages for the next train to arrive.

Oh and when on a west bound Inner-West/Bankstown line train the other day we
were told after Summer Hill the next station was Wynyard.
Some body was obviously stuffing around with the voice over.
Although I did actually picture the driver putting the pedal to the metal
and steaming past all remaining stations until Wynard.
Leaving passengers shocked and horrified.
Oh would have been a good excuse for being late for work.

It is a problem and happens all the time. Railcorp couldn't care less simple
as that.

I was at Bondi Junction a few years ago and the PA was stuck to
"Stationmaster! Please report to the Stationmasters' office!"

Over and over the bloody thing went, the whole 20 minutes I was there..

The internal destination indicators (and DVA) on the H sets seem to like
resetting themselves. Just before we got to Central one morning, it
announced "Next Stop: Port Kembla North". On the way home, it was stuck on
"Next Stop: Martin Place". Seems to happen several times per week.

Matt.
