Default Rail lobby crying foul!!

Today there was a rail lobby mob in The Age, crying foul
over not
getting enough money for rail and the trucks not paying their way.
Hellllooooo!!!!! Don't
they get it, governments have gotten out of the rail industry, they are
not
responsible for it
now. The rail lobby have become as bad as the road lobby: pay for my
track, just
like you
pay for the truckies roads, so I can make a buck at taxpayers expense.
Have we
privitised
or not? If we have I resent supporting private rail operators as much
as I
resent subsidising
truckies, they are all at the public trough. Just because I'm a railfan
does not
mean I
support corporate welfare.

Mark

Perhaps they just want a level playing field so that they can compete on
fair terms.

Sylvia.
