Default Moss Vale - Unanderra Line

I'm interested in finding out about the train services on the line
between Unanderra and Moss Vale which ceased in the mid 90s. I assume
that they departed from the down dock at Wollongong, and stopped at
Unanderra, Mount Murray, Robertson, and ended up in the down dock at
Moss Vale - is this right?

I'm also interested in finding out how often this service ran - I
remember that in its later years the service was always supplemented by
bus services which also stopped at Burrawang (where there is no railway
station). And what sort of trains ran this service?

Finally, when did the regular passenger services on this line cease?

The one I caught was the 9:03 ex Central on Sundays Moss Vale via W'gong.
Loco hauled service often with the demotored Tulloch and Budd cars.

Used to stop at Summit Tank so you could go and have a look at the look out.

I have only ever travelled on the line twice, both on regular, weekday,
trains.

In May 1966 3077 hauled a two car train up the hill Wollongin-Moss
Vale. In August 1972 I connected off the northbound Sprit of Progress
and travelled down the hill in a CPH.

This was the regular weekday operation, AFAIK, of that era: A morning
train MossVale-Wollongong, returning to Moss Vale in the late
afternoon.

They were apparently modified CPHs that had "bigger brakes".
I got this info from a Guard that used work them so it could also be a load
of bull.
