Just now an LVR train went past towards Meeks Rd. On the front were a 47 and
a 44. Marshalled against the 2nd loco was what looked like an MHG guards
van, and further back in the usual consist of loaded and empty container
flats was a bogie water gin. The gin was black- not the coloured one I've
seen used by 3801. I didnt get a good look at the guards van but it seemed
to be in ex-NSWR tuscan, heavily grimed.

While on the topic of passing trains, and in light of recent comments about
what locos are in or out of service, not long before the above sighting, a
yellow Silverton 48 went past, leading the grey undercoated 80 and 80s4.
