Default Sprinter Derails

Two people have died as the result of an up Sprinter colliding with a
semi-trailer at the Ercildoune Road level crossing between Ballarat and
Ararat.

Yes, it was a standard 2 car V/Locity set. One of the dead is reported
to be the train driver.

Default Sprinter Derails

Hmm, seems all these new plastic trains like the Vlocity ain't built to
last. Having the cab as a crumple zone just increases the chance of
anyone in it getting seriously hurt or killed, as we've experienced
now. Gimme' the ole' heavy metal built trains anyday...

My condolences go out to the families of those killed in this accident.

It doesn't take much research to find out that the structural parts of the
cabs on the V'Locities aren't made out of plastic or any material other
than metal.
