Default DIM8020

I'm a new subsciber to this newsgroup.

I've just read in "Under the Wires" the that rebuilt DIM8020 has been
withdrawn from service. Does anybody have any background information on this
million dollar disaster, please?

DIM8020 has been off the road since the Blue Goose cars were taken off in
October.

They had too many power cars, so 8020 was taken off as a spare.

Those blue goose ones are the old cars with A/C units right in the front and
back of the cars and the weird wall A/C ducts, aren't they?

You can see it at Flemington. It's quite easily noticable from the different
sheet metal used on the front of the car compared to the rest of the car.
