Default Adelaide guided bus, present and future / O-bahn d'Adelaide

Bonjour / Hi

J'écris ce message en français et en anglais, parce que mon anglais
est plutôt limité. N'hésitez pas à corriger mon anglais.
I write in franch and english, because my english is not fluent.
Please correct my english.

Je souhaite savoir où en est le systéme d'autobus guidé O-Bahn
d'Adelaide, dont je sais qu'il fonctionnait encore en 2003. A-t-il
était procédé à un renouvellement des véhicules depuis sa mise en
service. Quel est son avenir ? Pourriez vous m'indiquer des liens ?

I want information on Adelaide's guided buses. Is it still in use, was
there new vehicles since the opening, what is its future ? Do you know
links ?

Salutations / regards
Gérard Massip

Yes, and the number of routes using it has increased.

Yes, although the original ones are still in use.

It is not under any sort of threat, if that's what you mean. It is an
important part of Adelaide's transport network, and will continue to be
well used, but they're not treating it as a flagship service. So far the
buses used are high floor (even though low floor buses are common on
many Adelaide routes) and there are no real-time information displays. I
expect the O-bahn will get them eventually, but AFAIK they haven't been
announced yet.

It is unlikely that the track will be extended further out, because the
roads in the outer suburbs are generally uncongested. Extending the
track into the City is also unlikely because of the cost.
