Default NSW: historic electric traction (HET)

Evening all,

I took a recent trip to the Historic electric traction website (HET)
and there is a message from the director of the HET and webmaster of
the HET website stating that he is longer mainting the website or
apart of HET anymore.

The tone of the message seems rather annoyed at HET for their inertia
to fix and operate the fleet in their care. What does this now mean
for HET? what is the future of HET? and when will they be once again
running red rattler tours?

Thanks
Mark

Here is the message left by him on the website:

"My "Heritage Electric Traction" website is dedicated to a team of
valiant
volunteers who worked hard from 1998 through to 2001 to restore some
of
State Rail's heritage electric trains to working order so they could
be used
on tours. This site is basically an edited version of the website that
I
produced and maintained for HET up until January 2004.

HET have now chosen to change their focus from restoring and operating
the trains to instead just having Sunday afternoon picnics near them.
As such I am not very interested in being part of the team anymore and
have resigned as a Director of the company I helped start in 1997.

This web site remains in it's modified form as a monument to better
times, and (hopefully) an inspiration to others who might try and pick
up where HET has now left off. Alas everything changes and this is one
of those things that seems to have changed. Again.

None of the content in this website is owned by HET nor is it
authorised by them. If there are any photos on this site which the
original owners wish removed, please email me and I will ensure they
are removed promptly."
