4908 @ Maintrain

Yesterday 2nd Sept I noticed 4908 and carriages NDS/RDS/PHA/PHA and cover
vehicle MFS awaiting to get the road out of maintrain,

Can anyone tell me why they were m ving these vehicles and for what use.is
3801Ltd going to use them on tour trains????

I would take a punt and say that what you saw was just a contract job by
3801 Ltd to do some work for Countrylink. ?Wheel turning on the Maintrain
Lathe.

The cars were being returned to Elstons as a contract job for State Rail.

I saw the same train shunting into the old carriage sheds about 1350 on my
way to work
