At that stage, the street directories only went out to Toongabbie, and
even that was in the "sticks".
The 23rd Edition (January 1958) shows the trackage out towards Ropes
Creek but does not include Cochrane or Ropes Creek stations. The
44th Edition (August 1979) does!
