| | Guest | The current QR working timetable has fast become a collectors item! I have been informed that the current QR/Traveltrain working
timetable has incorrect information about the arrival time in
Townsville for the "Inlander".
The WT states that the train is due at 12:45pm, when it is in fact due
at 1:10pm! Thus, as I have said, the timetable book is a real
collectors item!
Does QR/Traveltrain "Proof Read" their timetables, before spending tax
payes money ofn having them printed? It seems not.

You got te last bit right.
QR is a Queensland government owned corporation. QR spent their own
cash printing the timetables.

A WT should be checked word for word, table by table, before it is published!
After this silly error, will QR/Traveltrain proof read future Working Timetables?

John, why is it necessary for you to tell this newsgroup the same thing
a dozen or more times, usually in words which suggest that you haven't
even mentioned it before? Is your dementia such that you don't even
remember you have said it so many times before; or is it that you think
that repeating it often enough will result in just one person ultimately
sharing your views; or is it just that you are fantasising that you did
indeed get elected to parliament where infinite repetition is the norm?

I have mentioned the fact that QR table the "Inlander" into Townsville
to miss the CTT to Cairns, more than once at this group, for sure. but
not 50 times! Also, the fact that the SOTO is tabled into Rockhampton
five minutes after the Nothbound "Sunlander" is due out. The reason
for doing so, is to raise awareness of QR management, who, believe it
or not, monitor all forms of media, including discussion boards, so
that a better timetable can be developed!
You can't name another transport operator that deliberately timetables
a service to miss what should be a connection, can you? No? Then why
does QR do that?
It would be nice to have a reasonable answer to that question.
How many times have other "strings" about a load of , gone on at
this board? I have seen 60 messages in the same string. All about
nothing! At least I have discussed the QR timetabling problems in the
hope that something will be done to correct the situation.
And, no, I won't be posting more messages on the same subject, as I
expect that people are now well aware of the facts.

I said 15, not 50. However to those of us who suffered reading it, it
felt like 5000.

I can actually. The reason is often that it avoids the problem of people
screaming and claiming compensation when a nominally-existent but
unreliable connection is missed. Another reason is that avoids major
operational problems, e.g. two trains needing to be in the same place at
the one time.
> It would be nice to have a reasonable answer to that question.
Would you recognise or acknowledge a reasonable answer to anything?

There is a significant difference between (a) 60 messages saying
different (even if related) things
and (b) 60 messages saying the same thing over and over again.

They were well aware of the facts about the timetable several weeks ago,
after you had posted it once. Your subsequent postings confirm other
sorts of facts. | |
