Rain in Melbourne and Sydney

I've seen these weather statistics quoted for years.

However, most people in Australia strongly believe that Melbourne has
much more rain than Sydney, and that Sydney has the much better
climate.

Australia is currently experiencing one of it's worst droughts in
years.. rain shouldn't be a problem...
