Default Visit to OZ and NZ

I have been recommended to this group by Alan S

I shall fly into Sydney on 7th January and will pick up a cruise vessel from
Sydney Cove passenger terminal. The cruise will call in to Melbourne,
Burnie then over to cruise Milford Sound, Dunedin, Christchurch, cruise
Queen Charlotte Sound, Wellington, Napier, cruise Mercury Islands, Tauranga
and finally Auckland from where I fly home to the UK via Hong Kong (Cathay
Pacific). The ship stays about 10 hours in each port.

If anyone has suggestions about the best things to do in each port (rather
than the ship's excursions) I should be grateful. Nothing too strenuous
please - I am over 70. I last visited OZ in 1991 and had a day's stopover
in NZ on the way home.

Yolande

Hi Yolande

Sounds like a marvellous cruise. I'll wait for the experts
to answer, particularly on the Kiwi section - I'll be there
myself in February.

Cheers, Alan, Australia

Hi Fred

Sorry not to reply before - but I had rather given up on getting a reply
from this group - hope all NZ is not so difficult to contact.

My interests are scenery and wildlife and am really looking forward to my NZ
visit.

Regards

Yolande
