Default Thailand in October

Am considering a tour to Thailand in early October.

It will go from Bangkok to Chang Mai

What kind of weather should I expect. If there is rain, how often and
how long is
typical?

I was there 2 years ago in January, so how might it compare?

Thanks in advance

Joel

In Chang Mai heavy rains and the old town was flooded ( the old market was
clsoed for two days.. )

In the mountains there were heavy rains wind and cold weather. ( But i was

Joel I was there last October in Isaan. On one day it rained briefly in the
afternoon. Otherwise the weather was great, but some cloudy days. Hot and
humid however. I think last year was a little unusual. As someone else
mentioned October is the transition from wet season to dry so I think it
can be unexpected.
