 flight from lhasa to katmandu
You should be able to see Everest on a Kathmandu - Lhasa flight. (Not that I
have done it, but it is on the approximate route). It will just be another
white mountain in the distance.
You can't see Everest from Kathmandu, but you can see it from Nagarkot which
is a short drive away (you can take a cab). Again, its just a little peak in
a row of litle peaks in the far distance - looks no different to any other
little bump on the horizon.
Being close to a big mountain (say within 10 kms of a 6,000m + mountain) is
way more impressive than being 100 kms from Everest - and its really easy to
get close to big mountains in Tibet and Nepal. You will see many things far
more memorable in Lhasa and Kathmandu than a glimpse of Everest in the far
distance ...
