Chang Mai to Hanoi?

Are there flights between these two cities?
Or do I have to fly back to Bangkok after a couple days in Chaing Mai to visit
Vietnam?

I'm traveling CNX-HAN on November 27, and the shortest way I could
find to get there by air was via Bangkok. If you happen to find some
other way, I'd love to know about it.

CNX to Vientienne to Ha Noi but expensive unless you have too much money
