Default Moving to the Philippines - advice, help needed ...

Hi!

I'm seriously contemplating emigrating to the Philippines. Been there on
vacation and absolutely loved the place. The climate, the breathtaking
scenery, the mentality, the atmosphere and the hospitable nature of the
Filipinos.

In order to do my job I need a stable internet-connection and a 3 bedroom
apartment (100 sq.m. +) with A/C either furnished or unfurnished for rent
for a period of at least 6 months ... and preferably in a safe area. I was
thinking along the lines of Metro Manila, Makati and as an alternative Cebu,
but what are the rates in those areas?

Recommendations on brokers, broadband internetproviders and living in
general will be muchly appreciated :o)

Kind regards,

Peter

Yes Tony, a foreigner engaging in ANY Business in The PI is a Fool.
Make your money in The 1st world and spend it slowly. If one avoids
"investing" in The PI one will do fine. The Cost of living is 4 times
cheaper than Florida or Spain. The weather is generally good. A house
maid will cost you $20 Bucks a month. Cheap food & Beer. Transportation
is Cheap too. Cebu is the best area for Gringos IMHO.
