Ryanair - what is required if kid (14Y) travels alone

Something stays unclear even after reading the Ryanair website again
and again ... if child, travelling alone, is brought to the airport by
a friend ( not direct family ) then apparently i should make some
paper confirming this is OK. Does someone know how i should make this
declaration ( name of friend and passport number ? my name and
passport and those of the kid ? )

Maybe better to post this on *****travel.uk.air and/or contact Ryanair
directly.

Are you sure Ryanair allow a 14 year old to fly unaccompainied?

Ryanair does not carry unaccompanied minors (under 14 years). Escort and
special facilities are NOT available. Ryanair will carry unaccompanied
minors aged 14 or 15 years ONLY upon completion and signature of a form of
indemnity at check-in of EACH departure airport, by a parent or guardian.

Children under the age of 14 years must always be accompanied on the same
reservation by a passenger over 16 years.

Unaccompanied minors aged 14 or 15 years travelling must present the
required valid photo-id at check-in. The parent or guardian of the
unaccompanied minors, are required to remain in the airport until the flight
has departed.

Thanks Jan, but still remains a question : My doughter is 14 years
old, and travels alone from spain to belgium after a holiday with
friends. When doing the reservation, they told me that my friend,
accompanying my doughter, should remain on the airport till
departure.
But, and that's my confusion, he should also have a declaration wherin
i state that he has the authority to accompain my doughter to the
airport. What i really missed is what that declaration should
contain .

I assume you will accompany her to the airport in Belgium for the outward
journey, You can then liase with Ryanair at check to see if the wording of
the declaration for the return journey is ok. It will probably help if you
are going to be at the airport for her return.

How about something along the lines of.... I authorise xxxxx to accompany
my daughter xxxxx to xxxx airport and authorise xxxx to act as my
representative in Spain. I will meet my daughter from the flight when it
lands in xxxx.

If Ryanair in Belgium can co sign/stamp this as being OK - having met you
personally, surely that should suffice.

But then I don't work for Ryanair !!!
