Default lightning hitting the plane

Anyone ever experience lightning hitting your plane while in flight?
I did for the first time and altho the experience of the flash of
light and sound was bad, I was more nervous when the stewardess asked
to make all windows open so she could walk down the aisle and look out
those windows to inspect the plane.... like do we still have any
wings attached :-) ? Everyone began to look at each other ... a
bit worried till the pilot made an announcement that our plane was hit
by lightning and all instruments were showing no signs of malfunction
and we'd continue on our flight. We did continue the rest of the way
without any more incident. I suppose even tho planes are made to take
lightning strikes, bad ones can probably damage planes or force
emergency landings??

About 20 years ago, I was flying from Melbourne to Hobart and we got hit by
lightning soon after takeoff, while the seatbelt light was still on. It felt
like a truck had run into the side of the plane. There was a bang and the
plane seemed to move several metres to the right, then everything went back
to normal. The normality returned so quickly that there was really no time
to get scared.

A few minutes later the pilot announced what had happened and said that
there appeared to be no damage and that we would continue according to
schedule. We proceeded to Hobart and landed without incident.
