Default Should I be Concerned?

Hey all

I have an 1 hour to make a connection in Honolulu from Hawaiian to
United Airlines. I thought this would be enough time, as many here
have said that I could take the bus from the Hawaiian concourse to the
United concourse. In any event I have friend that thinks I will need
to claim my bags and check-in with United and go through security. I
just thought Hawaiian would just transfer my bags to United. I know my
original airline Aloha would have, as I guess they were operating the
flight for United. Am I wrong and if so how much time should allow to
get my bags, get checked-in, and clear security?

Thanks
HBS

Is there something preventing you from calling United customer
service and asking them directly? Seems like they would know best,
wouldn't they?

Thanks everyone

I just e-mailed Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines. I received a
very timely reply from Hawaiian. In this e-mail I was told to make
sure when checking it at Hilo I should alert the agent that my family
would connected to a United flight in Honolulu and another United
flight in Denver. They would then take all of my information and as
both airlines have an interline baggage agreement our bags would be
transfered to United at Honolulu.

Hey Hot thanks for the information. I just assumed we were on one
single itenerary, after looking at the information from Pleasant
Holidays I think I am on two tickets like you. I too then will need to
to alert the counter agent to this in order my luggage checked all the
way back home.
