Default Moving back to Italy - taking my stuff with me on the plane

Hello,

I am moving back to Italy in the beginning of July after 3 years in the
US.

I was planning on shipping most of my stuff (clothes, books, etc.). I
will probably have 3 or 4 big boxes.

My friends tld me that it is actually convenient to take all my boxes
with me on the flight... they will charge me for that, but nowhere
close to what I will pay for shipping. And I will have my stuff with me
right away...

Can you people give me any advice on this?

Thanks, it is very appreciated!

Carlo

Can you elaborate? Does that mean taking my stuff with me on the plane
or is it something more sophisticated?

Thanks,
Carlo

....But it is extremely difficult to stuff your futon frame in the airlines'
baggage hold freight containers. As for your cast iron cornbread pan...

After all, Columbus's crew was allowed no more than a few personal items and
6' X 2' of deck space upon which to sleep, and you want spare clothing?
