I'm wondering if it's possible to use FF miles for an "open jaws" award
travel ticket: fly in to one city (say, NY to London), and return
flying out of a different city (say, Paris back to NY).
Looking at how one books award travel via airlines' online sites, it
doesn't look like it (only A to B, then B to A options), but I figured
I'd float the question.
Anybody know? | |

Depends on the airline, I suppose, but I've done it with NW, CO, and UA.
I call for my bookings. | |

It is very doable. You may have to call the airline (and get stuck for the
telephone reservation fee) but most carriers will permit open jaws. | |

I am actually going to be flying an open jaw with Delta next month on a
FF ticket. To get the flights, I had to call Delta and be waitlisted
on the FF program.
If the flights do not show up on the FF program on-line, call the
toll-free number and ask to be wait listed. They actually called me
back just after I hung up the phone with the flight openning up on the
day I wanted to return.
