Default Travelling with stitches/sutures in left hand

I need the wisdom of the travelers in this NG.

I had a mishap with a hedge trimmer on Sunday, Oct.12th.,
and ended in the ER. Lacerations in fingers of left hand,
could have been a lot worse. The doc. stitched
it up, and indicated that the stitches would need to come
off in six days. I am scheduled to fly Newark-New Delhi
on Oct.15th.

Is it advisable to fly with stitches in my left hand?
It's still a little painful, so I have to baby it. The
ER doc. said I could travel. I would need
to seek out a doctor in New Delhi to remove the stitches.

Any downside to traveling? Risk of infection? Finding a
competent doctor to remove the stitches? Finding a
safe health care facility? Please advice.

Thanks in advance for your kind help,

-Vik

Ouch! Look on the bright side, they'll not let you take hadge trimmers on
board aircraft, so you'll be safe for the duration of the flight.

Kind Regards, Howard

It itches like crazy while you're doing it, though!
