Default Anybody using web-checkin for boarding passes?

I do the web check-in with Delta all the time. You just have to be sure
that your printer can print bar codes. My Epson at one of my locations
doesn't do it, and I had some heartburn at the checkpoint when I showed
up with the printout.
Delta also lets you punch in your FF number instead of swiping a card
on their kiosks, so there's no problem with credit card names not
matching your reservation name. Supposedly, any card with a mag strip
is supposed to work, not just credit cards.
At Salt Lake City and Phoenix (the 2 airports I fly into regularly),
Delta has done away with most of the counter agents and has installed
a boatload of kiosks. They have some Customer Service Agents standing
around, directing people to the kiosks, helping the clueless use the
kiosks, then picking up the baggage tags and giving them to the people.

For whatever reason, airline tickets do not have anything other than
first and last names on them. My wife cannot get a ticket issued that
has her 'real' first name on it, because her name has a hyphen in it.
The airlines don't do hyphens in names. I can't get an airline ticket
that says "William B. Mattocks II". Their problem - nothing I can do
to change that.

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

I was thinking about it, and I believe you are exactly correct. That
is why they were trying to convince me that "Jr" was the same thing as
"II," because they only had a few drop-down choices to pick from, and
"II" was not on there.

I suppose it would have been the same if I had been a XXIII or
something.

They are (roughly) the same as in English: "Flugticket"
(flight-ticket) and "Karte" (card).

With the LH Quick check-in machines you can normally use either your
FF/credit card or your actual ticket if it has a magnetic strip on it
(ATB-ticket?).

I don't have that complicated of a name. I used it recently and it worked like
a charm. No check in luggage, less hassles.
