Safari questions

In 2008, I wanna do a safari for me and the mrs. We currently live in
Sydney. We would prefer to do it in December or January, although July
and August is a remote possibility as well. We'd like to spend 5-7
days in the bush, looking at animals and staying in a top-end resort,
maybe something akin to the Voyages resorts we have stayed at in
Australia. Suggestions? Thoughts? Caveats? S.A. or Kenya? Winter or
summer?

I will vote for Kenya, its so beautiful, rich in wildlife, scenery and friendly people. January is a good month to travel in Kenya, a bit warm but better than the rains in december. I have visited several National parks and I loved Samburu Game park, stayed at the Larsens camp, very nice. Aberdares park, just relaxing on the deck at the Ark watching elephants was amazing.

Lake Nakuru we stayed at Sarova Lion, not that luxurious though ok, in Masai Mara we spent 3 nights at the Bataleur Camp very exclusive and romantic..you should try it.
