Air Namibia - any opinions please?

Hi Group,
I am planning a visit to Namibia in September next.
One option (from the UK) is to fly Air Namibia direct to Windhoek.
I have never heard of Air Namibia so am a bit doubtful! But a direct flight
is very attractive.
Would welcome any comments about them please - good or bad.
Safety, attitude, aircraft, punctuality etc etc.

We flew Air Namibia from Gatwick to Windhoek and back last August.
No complaints whatsoever. On time both ways, reasonable service,
their planes are leased MD-11s (but I hear they might switch
to A340s soon). I'd fly them again. Faster and cheaper than
going through SA.

Hi
doesn't answer your question, but you might like to check out the
German airline LTU, they fly direct Windhoek.

I've flown Air Namibia on the Frankfurt-Windhoek route (and on to
Johannesburg). They were fine, food service, safety (as far as one
can tell). On that plane they even had a little more leg room than
some.
