Default Namibian Tourist Maps & Southern Damaraland

Dear Jona,

Thank you for the information about maps available at Namib-i it is
just what I was looking for. You are a diamond.

Where we disagree it is possibly a matter of perspective.

We are foreign tourists and have that perspective. We are frequent
visitors to the Northwest but we can still see it through the eyes of
the first time visitor.

We are concerned that any track marked on a "tourist" map (e.g.
something that you can pick up at Namib-i) should be suitable for a
foreign tourist.

If I was in Swakop wishing to travel to Twyfelfontein and I saw that
there is a shortcut via B. West I might be tempted to take my hired
4x4 and head off into the unknown.

I will follow this up as best I can. I do not expect I shall get very
far very quickly but I shall try.

Best Wishes

Alex

Heck, I must admit that a squiggle on a map resembling something
like a road is tempting to take - even if only for the sake travelling
the 'unknown'. There was this one place up in the Palmwag
concession area where we ............ well, lets just say "Been there,
got the T-shirt and guilty as charged".

Good luck.
