hi all,
I am sorry my portugese is too bad to write...
I'm from Belgium and my wife is from RS, Brazil
we will go to Brazil in oktober+november and again in january - march 2007
usually we rent a car in Brazil

now I have my old volvo here, that is 20 years old and is almost finished
I was thinking to send it to Brazil so that we can use it there

or we could import it:
I heard it is very expensive to import, but nobody can really tell what the
cost would be for a 20 year old volvo with market value 500 euros
are there maybe exceptions for old-timers ?

or we could use it as tourists visiting the country:
we keep it on belgian licence plates, don't import it, and just drive around
and send it back to europe, or better scrap it in Brazil or sell it for
pieces .. (?)
howlong can we use a foreign car in Brazil ?

anyone ideas ?
