I have done this many times. I love this way of going to JA. You have better
chances if off season however if you want more hotels to choose from. I
always tell them at the airport that I will be staying Dr.'s Cave Beach
Hotel as they will ask you for an address. I then go there to get a drink
and see if they have any room. They have always had one. Then I get a taxi
and ride around looking for another and so on. Now that my wife is a bit
older and rather not I only do it when I am alone. You may be surprised how
many hotels will 'find room' for someone with money.
