I have been told by several of my cruise line reps that they do. They
are very interested in finding who did very well and who "needs
improvement". Comments are used to determine promotions and contract
renewals.
I have one client who was actually contacted by Carnival after leaving
a fairly negative comment about an experience with a deck hand. They
gave him a $100 OBC. He said he would have preferred the guy's ear,
or a roundish organ found in a pouch outside of the body.
